A CLEAR PLACE TO BEGIN

Our editorial approach.

Nakshatra publishes the Sky Journal and birth-star guides. These are introductions to Jyotish and invitations to reflection, offered with respect for the traditions they draw on and for your own judgment.

Who is speaking?

The byline “Nakshatra” identifies the product publishing this work. It does not stand for a named astrologer, a lineage, or a practitioner’s certification. Our launch guides and journal entries were prepared with AI assistance. They have not yet received independent review by a Jyotish practitioner.

Three things we keep distinct

Practices and their sources

When an exercise draws on a named teaching, we identify it. Hindu philosophical teachings and Buddhist contemplation have distinct histories; we do not present them as interchangeable or prescribe a ritual remedy from a single chart feature.

Publication and updates

Journal entries have permanent URLs and fixed publication dates. Substantive changes receive an updated date. Weekly sky observations are retained with the published text rather than recalculated on every visit. Daily sky pages keep one noon-UTC calculation for each date, with the engine version shown on the page. Today’s sky is a separate, hourly snapshot of the moving Moon.

We write weekly letters by hand and keep a daily calculated snapshot so the shared sky can be cited and found later. Daily pages reuse our editorial star notes with that day’s positions; they are not newly authored essays and not personal readings. Public articles are shared content: opening or rereading them does not trigger an AI request.

Corrections are welcome

If you find a factual error, a source that does not support a statement, or an unclear attribution, please contact us with the page and the passage. Corrections should make the reasoning easier to inspect.
