These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and Cosmic Jellyfish, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your use of the Nakshatra mobile application ("App") and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Nakshatra is a Vedic astrology application that calculates birth charts (Kundali), identifies Moon Signs and Birth Nakshatras, provides planetary period (Dasha) analysis, generates AI-powered astrological readings, and enables chart compatibility analysis. The Service is available on iOS and requires an account.
All astrological content, readings, insights, predictions, and interpretations provided through the Service are for entertainment and informational purposes only. They do not constitute — and should not be construed as — professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, financial, investment, legal, psychological, or relationship advice.
You acknowledge that astrological interpretations are subjective and that the Company makes no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or applicability of any astrological content. You should not make important life decisions based solely on content provided through the Service. The Company expressly disclaims any liability arising from your reliance on astrological content.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate birth data for chart calculations to function correctly. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
The Service offers both free features and a premium subscription ("Nakshatra Premium"). Subscriptions are processed exclusively through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms in addition to these Terms.
We reserve the right to change subscription pricing. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing period following notice of the change. Your continued use after the price change constitutes acceptance.

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account.
The Service and its entire contents — including but not limited to software, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, algorithms, and branding — are owned by Cosmic Jellyfish, LLC and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Your birth chart data belongs to you. AI-generated readings are licensed to you for personal use only and may not be commercially redistributed.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review it to understand how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that: (a) the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; (b) the results obtained from the Service will be accurate or reliable; (c) any errors in the Service will be corrected; or (d) the Service will meet your expectations or requirements.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, COSMIC JELLYFISH, LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cosmic Jellyfish, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any rights of a third party; or (d) your submission of another person's birth data without their consent.
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY — IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.
You and Cosmic Jellyfish, LLC agree to resolve any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service through final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible.
Arbitration shall be conducted by a single arbitrator under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), applying the AAA's Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the state of the Company's principal place of business or, at your election, may be conducted remotely.
Class Action Waiver: You and the Company each agree that disputes shall be resolved on an individual basis only, and you waive any right to participate in a class action, class-wide arbitration, or any other representative proceeding.
Opt-Out: You may opt out of this arbitration provision by sending written notice to support@getnakshatra.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. The notice must include your name, email address, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of the arbitration clause.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if required to do so by law.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@getnakshatra.com. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ceases immediately and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
The following sections survive termination: Disclaimer (Section 2), Disclaimer of Warranties (Section 8), Limitation of Liability (Section 9), Indemnification (Section 10), Dispute Resolution (Section 11), and General Provisions (Section 15).
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means prior to the change becoming effective. The "Effective" date at the top will be updated. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the changes.
